SCOAR Member, Phil McGillivary is recognized for his advocacy and support of the use of unmanned aircraft operations in Arctic operations

"On behalf of the Air Force and National Intelligence University, this RQ-11A 

"Raven" is presented to Dr. Phil McGillivary, USCG PACAREA in grateful 
appreciation for supporting the Department of Defense's arctic domain 
awareness and scientific cooperation mission. During the month of
September 2011, this RQ-11 flew several missions above 88 degrees North 
latitude, conducting the first ever small aircraft unmanned systems flights in the 
Arctic."
